It's been a while folks!
This year is quite an eventful year for me.
Coz i get to travel to several places for a short getaway.
Went for a short trip to Bangkok again in June and i just came back from Genting 2 weeks ago!
How awesome is that?
I'm missing the weather in Genting already, it's so much cooler than Singapore.
Recently the weather in SG is killing me!
I can't even sleep properly at night... Arghh.
If only i can travel for a short getaway once every month, how nice would that be.
Haha, dream on.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Saw my brother eating muah chee when i was home on my rest day.
Was surprised that they're still selling at pasar malam.
Almost forgotten the taste of Muah Chee.
I remembered when i was young, my mom will always got it for me at $1!
It was one of my favorite childhood snack!
So i decided to google-ed for the recipe to make on my own.
Seriously, it's really easy to whisk the flour and to steam it over medium heat for about 10 mins.
But i failed it on my first try.
And btw, all my ingredients cost less than $3.
How wonderful is that?
See that? This was the first tray that i steamed.
Didn't managed to mix with enough water and it turned out very dry.
Decided to give it another try, and it was a success!
Tadaaaa.... My very first homemade Muah Chee!
Hahah, not bad for a first-timer ya?
My whole family finished it within 20mins... Haha.
So proud of myself.
Now i no need to buy it at pasar malam, i can just make it on my own any time i want!
And it definitely taste better and worth the money!
Surely gives me a sense of satisfaction too.
So now, next in my cooking list is... Chwee Kueh and Soon Kueh!
I really wanna learn how to make it, so i went to google-ed and i have already done my homework!
I'm so going to make a marketing trip to NTUC on my next rest day.
Stay tune ok!
Till then!
